(AUG 29) BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND — Northampton’s own Chantelle Cameron secured a 10-round unanimous decision victory over Mikaela Mayer to become the unified WBA, WBC, and WBO super welterweight champion of the world.

Headlining Most Valuable Promotions' "UK vs. USA" card (MVPW-06) at a packed bp pulse LIVE Arena in Birmingham, the highly anticipated headline fight delivered a relentless, back-and-forth boxing action. After ten non-stopl rounds, the judges scored the bout 97-93, 97-93, and 96-94, all in favor of the Cameron.

The victory marks a triumphant moment for Cameron, who officially tipped the scales at 147.6 pounds, as she adds Mayer’s WBA and WBC hardware to her own WBO title.

Mayer, who weighed in at an even 148.0 pounds, the defeat is another heartbreaking, razor-thin decision on British soil. The contest lived up to its elite billing.

In the co-main event, Caroline Dubois won very comfortably to retain her WBC and WBO lightweight world titles against Amelia Moore. Dubois, who weighed in at 134.8 pounds, used her fast footwork and sharp jab to dominate the 134.4-pound Moore over ten rounds, earning 99-90, 99-90 and 98-61 on the judges scores.

Earlier in the evening, Terri Harper won with a second-round knockout of Miranda Reyes.

Harper wasted absolutely no time imposing her power, stopping Reyes just 47 seconds into the second round of their super lightweight attraction.

The USA did find success on the night, however, as featherweight Reina Tellez secured a hard-fought 96-94 points decision over the UK's Jessica Barry after ten competitive rounds.

Opening up the main portion of the historic card, Britain's Tysie Gallagher narrowly edged out Brandi Robinson via a tight 77-75 points victory in their eight-round super bantamweight battle.
