QUINCY, Mass. (July 31, 2026) – Milton’s professional boxer Jenn Perella is the perfect example of age being just a number.

The former Endicott College field hockey star returns to the ring on August 29, when Perella (5-1, 1 KO) faces Chantal “Champ” Sumrall on the “Boston Harbor Fight Night 2” card, a Granite Chin Promotions and CES Boxing presentation, at Encore Boston Harbor Casino in Everett, Massachusetts.

“Boston Harbor Fight Night 2” will mark only the fourth pro boxing card to take place at Encore. It is a 21+ event only.

A 2024 National Golden Gloves finalist, as well as a 2-time New England Golden Gloves Champion, Perella defeated Brittany Dukes last year at Encore by way of a 4-round unanimous decision.

“Working with Jenn and her team has been a lot of fun,” Granite Chin Promotions president Chris Traietti said. “She is defying time by getting better with each fight at 43 years old! On august 29th, we are going to expose her to a veteran southpaw and I have no doubt she will put on another masterclass performance. After this fight, we keep pressing forward. Big things for Jenn are right around the corner.”

Perella, the mother of two teenagers, is also an event planner and personal trainer. Her recent 43rd birthday finds her more focused on boxing than ever.

“I want to keep going to get a big fight,” she explained. “I’ve stepped up my training and with Chris (Traietti) and my team, I hope to get that fight by this time next year if not earlier. I dropped down a weight class to bantamweight (112 lbs.) and my last fight was a 6-rounder. I out-boxed my opponent, Kate Radomska, in my last fight (May 16 in Quincy) and won each round.

“My opponent on August 29th is a lefty who comes forward. There aren’t a lot of left-handed fighters around here, especially women, but there are a few and some lefty men in our gym have helped me out training and sparring.”

Perella experienced boxing in a much different atmosphere at Encore and she’s really looking forward to returning there for her fight against Sumrall.

“Fighting at Encore was an awesome experience my first time,” she said. “What a venue! The event was well put together with good fights. Everything from the weigh in, the media, to even after the fights was great.

“I did get a gash over my eyebrow in the second round. I want to make a statement this fight in a 6-rounder, not 4, like my last fight was at Encore, and it’s in a bigger ballroom. There will be a good crowd there and I want to show everybody what I’ve been working on. I’m training 6 days a week and totally focused on boxing for this fight.”

Her age makes no difference.

A pair of undefeated prospects, Marshfield’s Joe Bush (7-0, 5 KOs) and Providence’s Victor Reynoso (12-0, 7 KOs), will headline “Boston Harbor Fight Night 2” in an 8-round fight for the vacant New England Welterweight Championship.

Former Massachusetts Middleweight Champion Anthony “The Gentle Savage” Andreozzi (7-6-1, 3 KOs), fighting out of Swansea, MA, takes on New Hampshire rival Ryan Clark (5-8-1, 2 KOs) in a 6-rounder. In 2024, Andreozzi won a 3-round split decision over Clark in a Granite Chin tournament.

Also fighting on the undercard is Norton, MA bantamweight Melanie “The Pitbull” Costa (3-1, 1 KO), a Norton police officer and 5-time national amateur champion, who takes on Brittany Dukes in a 4-round fight.

2022 New England Golden Gloves finalist Chistian Moura (3-0, 3 KOs), fighting out of Nashua, New Hampshire, also returns to fight at Encore, where he won his second pro fight last year with an opening round stoppage of Michael Thornton. Moura will face a junior featherweight opponent to be determined in a 4-round match.

Former college basketball player Barrett Hanlon, of Hopkinton (MA), will face Ratavious Thrasher in a 4-round light heavyweight match.

Once again, Granite Chin Promotions has partnered with the Quincy Fire Cancer Foundation for "Boston Harbor Fight Night" to raise awareness and support for this most worthy charitable organization.
