Champions Make Weight-MVPW-02 Official for New York City Showdown at Madison Square Garden

(APR 17) NEW YORK, NY – The stage is set for a historic night of women’s boxing as all fighters officially made weight yesterday at the Theater at Madison Square Garden for tonight’s MVPW-02 card. Headlining the first U.S. event of Most Valuable Promotions’ (MVP) global women's platform, unified super featherweight champion.

MVPW is a first-of-its-kind global platform dedicated to year-round women’s boxing, featuring elite world champions and rising stars in partnership with ESPN. Founded by Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian, MVP is a premier combat sports promotion focused on identifying and maximizing talent across the globe.

Weights for tonight's fight card:

Alycia “The Bomb” Baumgardner
and challenger
Bo Mi Re Shin

Both successfully hit the scales under the 130lb limit.
Baumgardner (17-1, 7 KOs) weighed in at 129.8 lbs, while South Korea’s Shin (19-3-3, 10 KOs) tipped the scales at 129.4 lbs. The two shared an intense final face-off before their 10-round championship bout, which marks Baumgardner's debut as a headliner under the MVP banner.

In the co-main event, unified super middleweight champion
Shadasia “The Sweet Terminator” Green

(16-1, 11 KOs) hit the mark at exactly 168 lbs for her title defense against former two-division champion Lani Daniels (11-4-2, 1 KO).

Tonight's event at the Infosys Theater at Madison Square Garden kicks off with preliminary bouts streaming on ESPN+ at 6:30 p.m. ET, followed by the main card live on ESPN at 10:00 p.m. ET.
