All-Female "Victorious Athena" Card Featured at  Korakuen Hall, in Tokyo, Japan
April 10, 2026

TOKYO, JAPAN---On April 7, 2026, women’s boxing took center stage at the legendary Korakuen Hall,  Tokyo, Japan, delivering seven female bouts featured on the card.

In the main event, Sumire Yamanaka (101 ¾ lbs) captured the vacant IBF World Atomweight Title with a close  ten-round split decision victory over Nao Ugawa (101 ½ lbs). While one judge favored Ugawa’s aggression, the remaining two saw Yamanaka’s precision as the deciding factor in a career-defining performance.

In the co-main event, Riyuna Yoshikawa (104 ½ lbs) secured the WBO Asia Pacific Minimumweight Title, defeating Nanako Suzuki (104 ¾ lbs) via an eight-round unanimous decision. According to the news media on this bout, Yoshikawa’s relentless jab neutralized Suzuki’s power, sweeping the scorecards and positioning her for a potential world title shot later this year.

In a third bout, Honoka Kano (101 ½ lbs) retained her OPBF Atomweight Championship earning a shutout unanimous decision over Komi Sato (101 ¼ lbs). All three judges scored the bout 80-71, reflecting a knockdown scored by Kano in the middle rounds that effectively halted Sato’s momentum.

In a fourth bout, Terumi Nuki (117 ¾ lbs) won two local Japanese belts after a split-decision win over Nana Yamashita (117 lbs).

Undercard Highlights:

Stoppage of the Night: Madoka Wada (103 ½ lbs) wasted no time, defeating Panida Chatluang (102 ¾ lbs) by a TKO just minutes into the first round.

Shiori Yotsumoto (101 ½ lbs) secured a  seventh-round TKO against Mao Kamada (101 ¾ lbs) in a scheduled eight-rounder.

Rin Fukuki (121 ¾ lbs) made a won her pro debut, stopping Miki Matsui (120 ½ lbs) via TKO in the third round of their scheduled four-round bout.
