Women's Boxing in Action: MVPW-01 Rewrites the Boxing Blueprint at the Olympia
April 6, 2026

LONDON, UK – The landscape of combat sports shifted last night as the inaugural MVPW-01 event transformed Kensington’s historic Olympia into a powerhouse of female boxing.  There were eight female bouts on the card, and two male bouts on the undercard.

In a main event, Caroline Dubois (13-0-1) easily defeaeted  veteran Terri Harper. From the opening bell, Dubois utilized a twitchy, high-speed lateral movement that left Harper resetting her feet constantly.
The turning point arrived in the 6th round when Dubois timed a blistering counter that sent Harper to the canvas, silencing the doubters regarding Dubois’ power at the elite level.

Despite an accidental headbutt in the 8th that opened a jagged cut over Harper’s eye, the champion’s poise never wavered.  Judges scores were 98-91, 97-92, and 98-91.  Dubois didn't just collect the WBC and WBO Lightweight titles; she sparked a divisional firestorm by calling out Alycia Baumgardner with P4P queen Claressa Shields watching from ringside.

In a second mainliner, Ellie Scotney facing the relentless pressure of Mayelli Flores Rosquero, Scotney utilized a masterbound inside-game, pivoting off the ropes to land uppercuts that snapped Rosquero’s head back with metronomic regularity. Two judges saw it as a 100-90 shutout, cementing Scotney as the undisputed force of the Super Bantamweight division.

In a third bout, Chantelle Cameron, moving up in weight, looked physically imposing against Michaela Kotaskova. Cameron’s jab acted as a piston, controlling the distance and neutralizing Kotaskova’s size advantage to secure the WBO Super Welterweight strap via a commanding unanimous decision.

In a fourth bout, Irma Garcia, 113 ¾, won by a third round TKO over Emma Dolan, 114 ½.  The bout was scheduled for ten rounds, where Dolan was down twice in round two and once in round three. The two were fighting for the IBF World Super Flyweight title.

In a fifth female bout, Teresa Makinen, 116 ¾,  won an eight-round by points over Chloe Watson, 117 ¾.  The score was 75-77.

In a sixth female bout, Shannon Courtney, 113 ½, won by a third round TKO over Sasha Booker, 113 ½.  The bout was scheduled for eight rounds.

In a seventh female bout, Elizabeth Oshoba, 126, won by a third round TKO over Chelsey Arnell, 127 ¾.  The bout was scheduled for six rounds.

Lastly in an eight female bout, Gemma Paige Richardson won a six-rounder by points over Johana Rajmont.

In men’s boxing, Harvey Smith won a four-rounder by points over Juan Alberto Batista.  Looks like a journeyman bout as Smith came into the bout with a 6-10 record, and his opponent was 1-24-0.

In a second male bout, Arjon Basi won by a second round KO over Jake Price in a schedule four-round bout.  More to follow soon!
