(MAR 4) COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The 2026 USA Boxing Women’s Youth High Performance Team was announced on Monday, finalizing the roster for the upcoming 2026 World Boxing Futures Cup in Bangkok, Thailand, and the remainder of the year. Eight athletes were invited to the 2026 USA Boxing Youth High Performance Selection Camp, and all eight were designated to this year’s team, showcasing the wealth of talent within the women’s youth division in the United States. The roster announcement concludes a successful Selection Camp for the USA Boxing High Performance department at the United States Olympic & Paralympic Training Center (USOPTC) in Colorado Springs, Colo.

The USA Boxing Women’s Youth High Performance Team comprises eight boxers from across the United States, setting the stage for the Youth Team to compete throughout the remainder of the year. The women’s roster spans eight weight classes and features boxers from across five states nationwide.

“I’m excited about the women’s team and its ceiling, which appears to be exceptionally high,” noted USA Boxing National Development Coach Edward Fonteneaux. “I am looking forward to them shocking the world and capturing gold medals along the way.”

Lauryn Elmore (Sacramento, Calif.) was named the women’s team captain after securing a position on the Youth Team for the second consecutive year. Elmore will lead the team with her veteran experience and push her teammates to competitively excel at the highest levels of international competition.

“Lauryn is a self-starter, and her enthusiasm is contagious to everyone around her, which encourages her peers to follow her without question,” Fonteneaux stated of Elmore’s status as a team captain for 2026.

“I am excited to see how she performs throughout the year. She came into camp even more focused and determined to win gold than last year.”
