Spotlight on Female Boxing with An All-Female Showcase at Korakuen Hall, Japan!

(FEB 21)  At the historic Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan hosted an all-female boxing card  titled Dangan Women's 2026 Vol. 1, that took place on February 20, 2026, at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

This all-female professional boxing card was part of the "Dangan" series, a long-running boxing promotion in Japan known for hosting multi-bout events. The card featured nine bouts across various weight classes, ranging from Atomweight to Bantamweight. The fights were the following:

Arisa Kishimoto, 111 1/2, won a four-round unanimous decision over Miku Nagasaki, 111 1/2. Final judges scores were 36-40 on all cards.

In a second female bout, Chiaki Yasui, 107, won a four-round unanimous decision over Miyako Nakao, 107 1/2. Final judges scores were 39-37 on all cards.

In a third female bout, Natsume Kikuchi, 101 3/4, won a four-round unanimous decision over Mizuki Matsuoka, 100 3/4. Final judges scores were 39-37, 36-40 and 36-40.

In a fourth female bout, Sari Metcalf, 117, won a six-round majority decision over Maiko Iwasaki, 117. Scores were 58-56, 58-56, and 57-57.

In a fifth female bout, Megumi Watanabe, 101 3/4, had a six-round majority draw with Yurie Kishi, 101. scores were 58-58, 57-57 and 57-57.

In a six female bout, Nano Hata, 114 3/4, lost a four-round bout against Yui Yamashita, 1141/2. Final judges scores were 37-39, on all cards.

In a seventh female bout, Saki Abe, 99 1/2, won a four-round unanimous decision over Cure Takana, 101 1/4.

In an eighth female bout, Mamiko Kageyama, 112 3/4, won by a fourth round TKO over Ying Wang, 114 1/2.  The bout was scheduled for four rounds.

Lastly, in the ninth and final female bout, Reina Chiku, 110 3/4, had a four-round majority draw with Miku Tamaki, 111 1/4. Judges scores were 37-39, 38-38, and 38-38.

Historic information:  All-female cards are a tradition in Japanese boxing, with similar nine-bout events dating back to at least 2011 and 2016 at venues like Yomiuri Bunka Hall and Korakuen Hall. These events are often cited by advocates as the standard for women's boxing coverage globally.
