(AUG 14) In the world of women's boxing, rivalries
often spark the greatest matches, and when it comes to women’s boxing, few
rivalries have captured attention quite like that of Katie Taylor and Chantelle
Cameron. The big question for most of us who follow Taylor and Cameron is:
Will these two meet in a Trilogy contest?
On May 20, 2023, in Dublin, Ireland, Katie Taylor
fought Cameron for the first time, but in a stunning turn of events, it
was Cameron who won the fight. The judges scored the bout a majority decision,
with the scores close at 95-95, 96-94, and 96-94, marking an unprecedented
moment as the first loss in Taylor’s professional career.
It was truly a shocker by most, when Cameron won the fight and remained
undefeated as a professional.

Fast forward to November 25, 2025, and fans were
once again treated to a showdown in Dublin. Taylor was determined to reclaim her
unification world titles and she defeated Cameron who then experienced her first
defeat as a pro losing by a close 10-round majority decision with judges scores
of 95-95, 92-98, and 94-96.
Is appeared that the logical fight to be on the plate would be a trilogy,
between these two----but it never happened.
Now that Taylor has now had three fights with Amanda Serrano and going now 3-0-0
against Serrano, to boxing fans, many feel that the best next huge fight for
Taylor would be against Cameron in a Trilogy.
However, social media has revealed cracks in the possibility of this third
fight. Cameron expressed her frustrations stating, "To be honest, I am just sick
of chasing that fight... I don’t think Katie or her team wants the fight; they
will be full of excuses."
A trilogy fight between Taylor and Cameron would
undoubtedly be a historic event in women’s boxing, the current circumstances
suggest uncertainty. As Cameron has indicated, there may be more obstacles
than merely logistical issues preventing this fight from happening.
The pressing question looms over this possible
matchup: Will Taylor and Cameron finally settle the score in a
trilogy?
