A Night of Female Fights at the Due Drop Events Centre
June 30, 2025

(JUNE 30) Last night at the Due Drop Events Centre in Manukau City, Auckland, Australia, the event featured three female bouts on the card.

In one bout, Sheila Yama from Hamilton, New Zealand, faced off against Louise Creaven from Queensland, Australia. The judges unanimously awarded the decision to Yama, who improved her professional record to 4-0-0 with one knockout. The final scorecards read 60-53 across the board, underscoring Yama’s dominance. Creaven is now 3-1-0.

The second female bout featured Emma Nesbitt from Auckland, New Zealand, going head-to-head with Australian boxer Bec Moss. This six-round bout proved to be very close.  Nesbitt weighed in at 105 3/4 pounds, while Moss came in at 107 pounds, setting the stage for a fierce competition.

When the final bell rang, the judges delivered a majority decision in favor of Nesbitt, with scores of 56-58, 54-60, and 57-57. This victory adds to Nesbitt's boxing career.

The evening culminated in the debut of Nyrene Crowley against experienced fighter Sarah Linton. The judges scored the match 37-39, 37-39, and 36-40 in favor of Linton, indicating a clear decision.

Sarah said after the fight, "We got the win in a great fight! Huge thank you to @ozjabur and the team at @bx9series for putting on such a great promotion! Through this whole weekend we have been looked after so well and can’t wait to fight on another BX-9 show in the future!  Thank you to my opponent @nyrenec! Was an honor to share the ring with such an experienced fighter and someone I’ve looked up to through my fight career.  As always a huge thank you to the best coaches/my second parents."

It is nice to see three female bouts featured on this card, and supporting women's boxing.
