LOS ANGELES - (June 29, 2025) -Last night at the
Honda Center in Anaheim, California, Holly Holm made her return to the boxing
ring after a 12-year hiatus. At 43 years old, Holm took on Yolanda Ochoa, 30,
from Sonora, Mexico, showcased the resilience and skill of the former champion.
With a dominant performance, Holm left no doubt about her capabilities, earning
a unanimous decision victory with all judges scoring the bout 100-90 in her
favor.

This fight marked Holm’s first appearance in a
boxing ring since 2013, and she looked every bit the seasoned veteran.
Holm controlled the pace and rhythm against Ochoa, displaying a sharp jab and
impeccable footwork. Holm showcased her extensive experience, outmaneuvering her
younger opponent.

Holm’s ability to adapt and maintain her composure
was evident as she consistently kept Ochoa at bay. This was Ochoa's first
professional loss. She is now 10-1-0 (1KO).
After the fight, Holm shared insights into her secret to staying competitive in
a sport that seems to favor youth. "When people tell me that I’m old, I don’t
feel it," she said with a smile. This mindset reflects her deep-seated passion
for boxing. “I think that as long as it is your number one passion,” Holm
explained, emphasizing the importance of mental and physical readiness.

Following her impressive victory, Holm hinted at her
ambitions for the future. "I anticipate having a fight by the end of the year."

Moreover, Holm has previously fought for the WBAN
P4P World title belt four times, clinching victory on three occasions, many
years ago. She was also inducted into the International Women’s Boxing
Hall of Fame in 2017.
