Two-division world champion Lani Daniels is now signed to a major international promoter

(APRIL 24) Freshly announced today, two division IBF World Champion has signed with Ukrainian-American Dmitriy Salita and American Mark Taffet of Salita Promotions, who is the same promoter as undisputed heavyweight champion Claressa Shields.

Announced on Instagram this morning, Salita Promotions has signed two major female boxers to their star-studded female world champion boxers.

“Salita Promotions adds two more elite world champions to star-studded roster".

Reigning IBF Light Heavyweight Champion Lani Daniels and WBA Light Heavyweight Champion Che Kenneally join roster with reigning undisputed champ Claressa Shields and super middleweight champ Crews-Dezurn.”

Dmitriy Salita is a retired professional boxer with a significant record of 35-2-1 with 18 wins by KO. He retired from professional boxing in 2013 and began promoting in 2010. So far, he has promoted over 60 events internationally with 22 world title fights, 5 of those fights being undisputed title fights.

This is massive news as Lani Daniels has not had a regular promoter since 2024 when Dean Lonergan of D&L Events was forced to close down his boxing promotion in New Zealand and Australia after losing his financial sponsors. Without a regular promoter, Daniels’s current world title, the IBF World Light Heavyweight title, was at risk of being stripped if she didn't defend it by September this year.

On top of that, it is always a major risk to a boxer's career when they are not able to compete regularly, at least 3 times a year. With this new promoter, she will be able to compete again and have her first-ever fight outside of New Zealand as a professional boxer.

Other boxers who are already signed to the promotion include the current Undisputed World Heavyweight Champion, Clarrissa Shields. She has held world titles in five different weight divisions and been an undisputed world champion in three. She is one of the most wanted boxers in the world, with multiple New Zealand boxers dreaming to step foot in the ring with her, including Geovana Peres and Lani Daniels.

The other two that are signed are Australian boxer, the WBA World Light Heavyweight champion Che Kenneally, who won her world title in July 2024, and already signed American boxer and current WBC World & Interim WBA World Super Middleweight champion Franchon Crews Dezurn. Dezum is a former Undisputed World Super Middleweight champion, but lost the title in July 2023.
