LAS VEGAS, NV - [April 10, 2025] A unique celebration
took place recently at the Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las
Vegas. Over four days from April 2 to April 5th. The spotlight was shone
on women in boxing, as the WBC Women’s Summit and the
International Women’s Boxing Hall of Fame (IWBHF) held back-to-back events.
These gatherings not only honored past and present champions but also brought
together the community that drives the sport forward.

The WBC Women’s Summit, held from April 2 to 3, 2025, was a gathering like no
other. Boxing enthusiasts, active and retired champions, and supporters
of women's boxing came together in an event that was as informative as it was
celebratory. The summit featured panels that discussed important issues facing
women in boxing, including representation, safety, and career development,
ensuring that participants left equipped with valuable insights.
One of the most interesting aspects of the summit was the recognition of
several extraordinary women who have made significant contributions to the
sport. Awards were presented celebrating their achievements and inspiring the
next generation of female boxers.

and more!

Following the WBC Women’s Summit, the IWBHF carried on during the
International Women’s Boxing Hall of Fame, which took place on April 4 and 5.
This year’s induction ceremony was particularly special, as it coincided with
the summit, amplifying the spirit of unity in celebrating women’s
accomplishments in boxing.
The IWBHF not only honored the legendary inductees but also recognized Special
Award Recipients, acknowledging those who have significantly impacted the sport
beyond the ring. The event served as a platform showcasing inspiring stories of
perseverance, triumph, and unwavering dedication.
As we reflect on this historic week, one thing is clear: the future of women’s
boxing shines brightly.
With the continued support of organizations, fans, and advocates, women’s boxing
is poised to grow, gain visibility, and achieve even greater accomplishments.
The celebrations at the Orleans Hotel & Casino were not merely a flash of glory
but a rallying call to elevate women in the sport, ensuring their voices and
talents are heard and recognized.
The WBC Women’s Summit and the International Women’s Boxing Hall of Fame
together marked a pivotal moment in the history of women's boxing. It was a week
that celebrated not just the champions in the ring but also those dedicated to
supporting and nurturing talent outside of it.
