(MARCH 30) Last night in an action-packed
mainliner in women’s boxing, Mikaela Mayer showcased her prowess in
the ring by successfully defending her WBO Welterweight World Championship title
against Sandy Ryan at the Fontainebleau in Las Vegas, Nevada.
This bout was part
of a Top Rank card, where boxing fans were looking forward to the rematch.
In their first fight Mayer won by a slim majority decision, but this time,
however, the stakes were even higher, and Mayer left no room for doubt as she
demonstrated her dominant skills.

As the bell rang, both fighters stepped into the ring, ready to leave it all on
the canvas. Mikaela Mayer, weighing in at 146 pounds, facing off with
Ryan, who came in at 145.5 pounds, hailing from Derby, Derbyshire.
Mayer quickly set the tone, her hand speed proving to be one of the decisive
factors throughout the early rounds. From the outset, she effectively utilized

As the fight progressed into the tenth round, it was evident that Mayer was far

showcasing remarkable stamina and determination despite her injury. Mayer had decisively won the match with a
unanimous decision of 97-93, 97-93, and 98-92.
This victory not only allowed Mayer to retain her WBO Welterweight World
Championship title but also solidified her reputation as a formidable force in
women’s boxing.
