(MAR 18) In the world of boxing, few stories are as inspiring as that of young amateurs stepping into the ring and making their mark. Ivy “Poison” Enriquez, an 18-year-old boxing standout from El Paso, Texas, is one such story. With an impressive amateur career, including numerous national titles and international representations for Team USA, Ivy has recently signed a multi-year managerial agreement with experienced managers Trifon Petrov and James Bartley. As she prepares for a busy schedule in 2025, let’s dive deeper into her journey and what lies ahead.

Ivy’s love for boxing ignited when she was just eight years old, training under her father Sergio Enriquez. Her dedication to the sport quickly translated into success, as she amassed accolades that displayed her talent and hard work. Winning a series of national titles not only cemented her reputation but also earned her a chance to represent the United States on the international stage.

Her recent foray into professional boxing commenced with a victorious debut in her hometown of El Paso on February 15th. Ivy fought Karla Garcia, securing a win by unanimous decision, showcasing her skill and determination.

Signing with Trifon Petrov and James Bartley marks a significant milestone in Ivy’s career. Trifon, who has a keen eye for nurturing talent, expressed his enthusiasm about guiding Ivy through her professional journey. "Ivy is an outstanding young lady and extremely talented boxer. I believe she has all the tools and charisma to become a star in the sport," Petrov said. His confidence in her capabilities is shared by many in the boxing community, creating a buzz around her future fights.

Under their management, Ivy joins an impressive roster of fighters, including Elijah Pierce, Maliek Montgomery, and the Tellez sisters, Reina and Gabriela.

With a promising team behind her, Ivy Enriquez is already looking toward a busy 2025. She is scheduled to square off again in Odessa, Texas, on April 26th, in an event promoted by Iram Sanchez of GHH Promotions.

In addition to honing her skills in the ring, Ivy is determined to continue her education and personal development. Balancing her boxing career with academics is crucial for her, demonstrating her commitment to becoming a well-rounded individual. This mindset not only enhances her performance but also builds the foundation for a bright future, both inside and outside the boxing arena.
