(MAR 4) In the ever-evolving world of boxing,
the business side often plays a pivotal role in an athlete's journey to stardom.
Recent news has emerged that featherweight sensation Hailey Pennington has
signed a management deal with Eruption Boxing Management, signaling a promising
chapter in her career. This announcement was made via a press release received
by WBAN on March 3rd.
Pennington is already being tipped by many as a future champion, and her new
Manager, Eruption Boxing Management Owner & Manager Gwen Legge, is especially
pleased with her new signing.
Having teamed with her idol, the fabled “First Lady of Boxing”, Jackie Kallen,
in setting up Eruption, Legge now says: “I like to call myself “The Next Lady of
Boxing” - Hailey is the first female I’ve signed, so she’s very special to me.”
Her signing with Eruption Boxing Management marks a significant milestone in her
journey. As female boxing continues to gain traction globally, champions like
Pennington represent the new wave of sports personalities who inspire the next
generation. The engagement with a focused management team can provide the
guidance and exposure necessary for her to ascend the ranks.
With the right support, Pennington has every chance to realize her dream of
championship glory. The partnership with Eruption is not merely a contract but a
commitment to building a legacy that impacts both her career and the broader
world of women's boxing.
Pennington joins Legge’s growing stable which includes the likes of 11-0-0 (7KO)
Roberto Cruz, Chinese contender 15-2-1 (11KO) Peng Qu, former ABF
super-flyweight champion 11-2- (1KO) Guillermo Gutierrez, super-welterweight
9-3-0 (6KO) Willie Jones, and undefeated novice Pros Efrain Sanchez and Jayon
Tinnin, among others. But the 25-year-old from Huntington, West Virginia, might
be Legge’s brightest hope yet.
