(JAN 6) The first reported women's boxing bout that took place thus far was two days ago on January 4th, at the Hotel Nongshim, Busan, where Kyung Joo Bae, 125 1/2, of Changwon, South Korea, won her bout when she defeated Hyun Hee Lim, 125 1/4, of Busan, South Korea. Kyung won by a fourth round unanimous decision over Hyun Hee Lim. The final judges scores were 37-39, 36-40, and 37-40. Kyung is now 1-2-2 (0KO), and Lim is 0-1-0.

The next known female bout to take place will be on January 8th, at the Gold Coast Convention Centre, Broadbeach, Queensland, Australia, when Taylah Gentzen faces Shauna Browne.

Upcoming Bouts: January 11th and Beyond

On January 11th, it serves as a pivotal day for women’s boxing, with four boxing events featuring women's boxing takes place across different countries, ranging from Germany to Mexico and the United Kingdom.

 In Cologne, Germany: Anja Moskil makes her professional debut against Rosa Maria Acosta Carrion, who possesses a challenging record of 0-3-1.

In Jamay, Jalisco, Mexico: Maria Partida goes head-to-head with fellow newbie Maria del Carmen Castellanos, both at 0-1-0, promising a battle of determination.

In York Hall, London, UK: Ruth Huntley steps into the ring for her pro debut against seasoned fighter Klaudia Ferenczi, boasting a record of 20-118-10.

and in Park Community Arena, Sheffield, UK: Caroline Dubois, with an impressive record of 10-0-0, takes on Jessica Camara, who stands at 14-4-0. This match is particularly noteworthy as Dubois seeks to maintain her unbeaten streak against a formidable opponent.
