(OCT 21) On Friday night on October 19th, at the Estadio Cubierto Aconcagua Arena, in Ciudad Mendoza, Argentina, we saw some new kids on the block for women's boxing when there were two female boxers from Argentina donning the boxing card.

In one bout, Brisa Abigail Rosario Alfonzo, 126 3/4, of Argentina, won a six-round unanimous decision over Daiana Marisa Molina, 120 1/4, of Chubut, Argentina. The final judges scores were 55-57, on all cards. In the second female bout, Lucia Elena Garcia Ovejero, 111 1/4, won by a four-round majority decision over Dalma Cecilia Alaniz, 112 1/2, of Cordoba, Argentina. Final judges scores 37-39, 37-39, and 38-38.

The crowd was treated to a night of exciting boxing as the fighters showcased their skills and determination in the ring. Both bouts were closely contested, with each fighter displaying their unique styles and strategies. The victories for Brisa Abigail Rosario Alfonzo and Lucia Elena Garcia Ovejero were well-deserved, highlighting their talent and commitment to the sport. These bouts serve as a testament to the growing popularity and success of women's boxing in Argentina, further solidifying its place in the world of professional boxing.

Their victories not only bring them personal glory but also contribute to the overall recognition and growth of the sport. As these talented athletes continue to dominate the ring, we can expect even more thrilling matches and further progress for women in boxing in the coming years.

The dedication and resilience shown by Rosario and Ovejero in their training and fights is a testament to the immense potential of female athletes in the sport. Their achievements serve as an inspiration not only for aspiring boxers but also for women in general, proving that with determination and hard work, they can excel in any field. As the popularity of women's boxing continues to rise globally, it is crucial to provide equal opportunities and support for female fighters, ensuring the sustained growth and success of the sport.
