September 20, 2024, at the Pickering Casino Resort, in
Pickering, Canada, Melinda “The Whip” Watpool, 6-0-0 (2KO), of
Toronto, Ontario, Canada is set to have a rematch against
Natasha “The Nightmare” Spence, 8-5-2 (6KO), of Cambridge,
Ontario, Canada.
The two first fought on December
23, 2023, at the same venue, where Watpool won by a six-round
unanimous decision, with judges scores saw the fight at 60-54,
60-53, and 60-54.
Watpool remaining undefeated is looking forward to fighting her
first ten-round bout that will have a belt up for grabs.
Watpool said, “This is what we’ve been working towards. We hope
it opens the door to more traveling, fighting in the U.S., and
higher purses.”
Watpool has been professionally boxing since September of 2022,
and Spence on the other hand has been boxing since 2010.
Spence recently fought on July 20, 2024, at the Amalia Arena, in
Tampa, Florida, against Shadasia Green, where she lost by an
eight-round unanimous decision.
Spence is determined to bounce back from her recent loss and
prove herself in the ring once again. Despite the defeat, she
remains confident and determined to give Watpool a tough fight
this time around. With both fighters hungry for victory, their
rematch promises to be an intense and thrilling battle that fans
won't want to miss.
