Canada:  Melinda Watpool to Rematch Natasha Spence for the WBA International Middleweight Title
September 7, 2024

(SEPT 7) On September 20, 2024, at the Pickering Casino Resort, in Pickering, Canada, Melinda “The Whip” Watpool, 6-0-0 (2KO), of Toronto, Ontario, Canada is set to have a rematch against Natasha “The Nightmare” Spence, 8-5-2 (6KO), of Cambridge, Ontario, Canada.

The two first fought on December 23, 2023, at the same venue, where Watpool won by a six-round unanimous decision, with judges scores saw the fight at 60-54, 60-53, and 60-54.

Watpool remaining undefeated is looking forward to fighting her first ten-round bout that will have a belt up for grabs.

Watpool said, “This is what we’ve been working towards. We hope it opens the door to more traveling, fighting in the U.S., and higher purses.”

Watpool has been professionally boxing since September of 2022, and Spence on the other hand has been boxing since 2010.

Spence recently fought on July 20, 2024, at the Amalia Arena, in Tampa, Florida, against Shadasia Green, where she lost by an eight-round unanimous decision.

Spence is determined to bounce back from her recent loss and prove herself in the ring once again. Despite the defeat, she remains confident and determined to give Watpool a tough fight this time around. With both fighters hungry for victory, their rematch promises to be an intense and thrilling battle that fans won't want to miss.
