(JULY 28) Last night at the
Little Caesars Arena, in Detroit, Michigan Claressa "T-Rex"
Shields, 174 3/4, of Flint, Michigan, moved her record to 15-0-0 (3KO) after she quickly
dispatched her opponent Vanessa LePage-Joanisse, in the second
round by TKO, and is now 7-2- (2KO).
Shields won the WBC, WBF heavyweight titles, and the vacant WBO
light heavyweight title. Shields also created even more
history in her pristine boxing career by becoming a multi-world
champion in four divisions.
This latest triumph solidifies
Shields' position as one of the most dominant and accomplished
fighters in women's boxing. Shields' continues to break barriers
and pave the way for future generations of female athletes.
Her extraordinary accomplishments
have not only elevated her own profile but have also brought
increased visibility and recognition to women's boxing as a
whole. As she continues her journey, there's no doubt that

In a second female bout on the
card, southpaw Danielle Perkins, 175 1/2, of Houston, Texas,
remained undefeated with a 5-0-0 (2KO), when she fought to a
six-round unanimous decision over Christianne Fahey, 173 1/2, of
Scotland, United Kingdom in an interesting slugfest. Final
judges scores were 54-60, 55-59, and 55-59.
Perkins showcased her superior
skills and power throughout the fight, landing crisp
combinations and effective counterpunches. Fahey displayed
immense heart and determination, refusing to back down and
launching her own aggressive attacks. With this win, Perkins
solidifies her position as a rising star in the female boxing
scene, leaving fans eager to see what the future holds for this
talented southpaw.
In the third female bout on the
card, Samantha Worthington, 139 1/2, of Lexington, Kentucky, won
by a second round RTD over journeywoman boxer Edina Kiss, 140.
Her team threw in the towel after the second round.
Worthington is now 9-0-0 (7KO), and Kiss who has fought many of
the top boxers with much of the same results is now 16-21-0
(9KO). Kiss has lost 16 of her last 18 fights, and winning
two...need I say more, I didn't think so....
