(JULY 28)  Last night at the Little Caesars Arena, in Detroit, Michigan Claressa "T-Rex" Shields, 174 3/4, of Flint, Michigan,  moved her record to 15-0-0 (3KO) after she quickly dispatched her opponent Vanessa LePage-Joanisse, in the second round by TKO,  and is now 7-2- (2KO).  Shields won the WBC, WBF heavyweight titles, and the vacant WBO light heavyweight title.  Shields also created even more history in her pristine boxing career by becoming a multi-world champion in four divisions.

This latest triumph solidifies Shields' position as one of the most dominant and accomplished fighters in women's boxing. Shields' continues to break barriers and pave the way for future generations of female athletes.

Her extraordinary accomplishments have not only elevated her own profile but have also brought increased visibility and recognition to women's boxing as a whole.  As she continues her journey, there's no doubt that she will continue to make history and cement her legacy as one of the all-time greats in the sport.

In a second female bout on the card, southpaw Danielle Perkins, 175 1/2, of Houston, Texas, remained undefeated with a 5-0-0 (2KO), when she fought to a six-round unanimous decision over Christianne Fahey, 173 1/2, of Scotland, United Kingdom in an interesting slugfest.  Final judges scores were 54-60, 55-59, and 55-59.

Perkins showcased her superior skills and power throughout the fight, landing crisp combinations and effective counterpunches. Fahey displayed immense heart and determination, refusing to back down and launching her own aggressive attacks. With this win, Perkins solidifies her position as a rising star in the female boxing scene, leaving fans eager to see what the future holds for this talented southpaw.

In the third female bout on the card, Samantha Worthington, 139 1/2, of Lexington, Kentucky, won by a second round RTD over journeywoman boxer Edina Kiss, 140.  Her team threw in the towel after the second round. Worthington is now 9-0-0 (7KO), and Kiss who has fought many of the top boxers with much of the same results is now 16-21-0 (9KO).  Kiss has lost 16 of her last 18 fights, and winning two...need I say more, I didn't think so....

The entire card was shown live on DAZN in over 200 countries across the globe while being promoted by Salita Promotions.
