(JULY 25) What an amazing
weekend in Tampa, Florida where Canadian boxers Natasha ‘The
Nightmare’ Spence and Lucas ‘The Prince’ Bahdi made
their mark on this massive sold out MVP (Most Valuable
Promotions) Fight Card Saturday July 20th. With over 19,000 in
attendance GJWB was lucky to be there to cover all the action on
behalf of the WBAN and Sue TL Fox. The energy and fans
were electric at the Amalie Arena all night!

This MVP/DAZN card featured two female fights including
the co-main event: Amanda Serrano vs Stevie Morgan & the
headline of the preliminary card; Shadasia Green vs Natasha
Spence who is one of our TEAM GJWB ambassadors! We were lucky to
be part of her fight camp and stay tuned for a full blog on
that.

Both opponents of the MVP signed athletes (Serrano & Green) had
some obstacles in their way. Morgan (14-1) faced Serrano, a
veteran of the sport with a record of 46-2-1 also deemed the
most decorated female boxer currently. Spence went up a weight
class on 3 weeks notice to face off against Green who is
currently ranked #2 in the world (super middleweight division).
Preliminary card headliner: MVP’s super middleweight
Shadasia “The Sweet Terminator” Green (14-1, 11 KOs) made
her first appearance of 2024 as she returned to the ring to
prove her path back to title contender after losing her belt to
Franchon Crews-Dezurn who used her experience in that bout to
outpoint Green, regaining the WBC super middleweight title by
unanimous decision.
Green who is a Paterson, New Jersey native was coming back for a
needed ‘W’. She faced Cambridge, ON based United Promotions
signed Natasha “Nightmare” Spence (8-5-2, 6 KOs). These
warriors fought a tense 8 rounds with one knockdown by Spence
before the decision went to the cards, giving Green an unanimous
decision win (78-73, 77-74 x2). Natasha may have lost the bout
but she gained worldwide attention and proved she deserves this
stage and we can’t wait to see what’s next!
