(FEB 23) In a shocking
announcement this week, Peach boxers Jerome Pampellone, Andrei
Mikhailovich, and Northlands Mea Motu have ended the business
relationship with Dean Lonergan and signed with No Limit Boxing.
Lani Daniels has yet to announce her next move.
It was announced this week while Isaac Peach was in hospital
with kidney stones that Peach Boxing will end their business
relationship with Dean Lonergan under D&L Events. This includes
IBF Intercontinental champion Jerome Pampellone, WBO Global
Champion Andrei Mikhailovich and Northland's own IBO World
champion Mea Motu.
It was noted that this was not a nasty end to the business but
more of a time to move on. Mea Motu has big plans for her future
as she sets her sights on the winner of the WBO and IBF
unification fight between Ellie Scotney vs Segolene Lefebrvre in
April. Motu will be announcing her next fight soon.
Jerome Pampellone's next fight will be in Australia as he
positions himself to be a challenger against the winner of the
undisputed world title fight with Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry
Bivol in June. Andrei Mikhailovich has his IBF mandatory
eliminator fight on May 11th to fight Germany’s Denis Radovan.
The boxers have signed with new promoter No Limit Boxing under
Matt and George Rose who have work with Isaac peach in the past
with WBO World title challenger David Light. Recently we have
been seeing Kiki Toa Leutele being a regular boxer on No Limit
Boxing fights. This leaves Amato Mataika, Zain Adams, Erin Walsh
and Emma Nesbitt up for grabs for promoters.
As for two division IBF World champion Lani Daniels, nothing has
been confirmed but Daniels manager has said they are still
waying up their options. He says everything is in the air at the
moment.
Daniels is now in a similar position as she was after her first
world title win last year where John Conway will have to go out
and find promoters for Daniels. The difference is metaphorically
Daniels stocks are now up. She is now a multi-division world
champion with successful defences in heavyweight.
Daniels's ultimate goal is to win a Super Middleweight world
title. She has a wish list of fighters she wants to fight
including former Undisputed World Super Middleweight champion
Savannah Marshall and two-division Undisputed World Claressa
Shields.
Unfortunately, the downside is we will be seeing less boxing on
New Zealand TV as well as the possibility of not seeing Pay Per
View boxing live from Northland again.
