January 12th, at the Korakuen Hall, in Tokyo, Japan, there is an
all-female boxing card, that will feature six matches featured
on the card.
The following fights that will be taking place will be the
following (subject to change).
Mika Iwakawa, 12-6-1 (4KO), vs.
Sumire Yamanaka, 7-0-0 (3KO), 10 rounds, IBF World Atom title.
Mizuki Hiruta, 5-0-0 (1KO), vs. Ji Hyun Park, 26-3-0 (8KO), 10
rounds, WBO World Super Flyweight title.
Yuko Kuroki, 22-7-2 (9KO), vs. Eri Matsuda, 6-1-1 (1KO), 10
rounds, WBA/WBO World Atom title.
Riyuna Yoshikawa, 6-1-1 (1KO), vs. Mayumi Nakano, 5-1-0 (3KO), 8
rounds, WBO Asia Pacific Minimum title.
Terumi Nuki, 13-5-0 (9KO), vs.
Monika Singh, 4-0-0 (2KO), eight rounds, vacant WBO Asia
Pacific Bantamweight title.
Three world female title matches
followed by a pair of World Boxing Organization’s Asia-Pacific
female championship bouts will be held on Jan. 12 at Tokyo’s
Korakuen Hall under the general heading Lemino BOXING PHOENIX
BATTLE 109,
According to Ohashi Boxing Gym,
the main event will be World Boxing Association and WBO
atomweight champion Yuko Kuroki of Shinsei Boxing Gym’s title
defense against Eri Matsuda of TEAM10COUNT Boxing Gym, ranked
second by the WBA and WBO. The 32-year-old Kuroki wrested
the WBA title from Montserrat Alarcon of Mexico in this past
August. It will be Kuroki’s first defense of the WBA title and
her third of the WBO crown. Kuroki has a record of 22 wins,
including nine knockouts, against seven losses and two draws.
Matsuda, 29, has a 6-1-1 win-loss-draw tally with one KO.
WBO super flyweight champion
Mizuki Hiruta of Misako Boxing Gym will defend her title for the
second time against Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation’s
fourth-ranked minimumweight Park Ji Hyun of South Korea.
The 27-year-old Hiruta has five straight wins, including one KO,
while the 38-year-old Park has a 26-3 win-loss record with eight
KOs.
International Boxing Federation atomweight champion Mika Iwakawa
of Himeji Kinoshita Boxing Gym will defend her title for the
first time against top-ranked Sumire Yamanaka of Shinsei gym.
The 40-year-old Iwakawa has a record of 12 wins, four by KO,
against six losses and a draw. For her part, Yamanaka, 22, has
seven straight wins, three by KO.
WBO’s Asia-Pacific minimumweight
champion Riyuna Yoshikawa of Diamante Boxing Gym will defend her
title for the second time against Mayumi Saito of Saito Boxing
Gym. Former OPBF super flyweight champion Terumi Nuki of Shinsei
gym will face India’s Monika Singh for the vacant WBO
Asia-Pacific bantamweight title.
