Boxing Hall of Fame Inductee who called over 20,000 fights
worldwide passed away at the age of 79.
LAS VEGAS, Nev. – It is with
heavy hearts that we announce the loss of our beloved ‘Pops’,
Colonel Bob Sheridan on Wednesday, Sept. 27, at the age of 79.
He was not just a father to us, but a guiding light, a source of
unwavering love and support, and a true hero in every sense of
the word. Pops dedicated his life to his family and his country,
and his legacy will forever inspire all of us.
Pops instilled in us the values of honor, integrity, and
resilience. His wisdom and unwavering support guided us through
life's challenges, and his sense of humor brought joy to our
darkest days.
As a family, we want to express our gratitude for the tremendous
outpouring of love and support from friends, colleagues, the
boxing community, and well-wishers during this difficult time.
It is a testament to the impact Pops had on so many lives.
While we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the incredible
life he lived and the indelible mark he left on all of us. Pops
will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we will
strive to honor his memory by living our lives with the same
dedication and love that he showed us.
We kindly request privacy as we grieve and make arrangements to
celebrate Pops' remarkable life. In lieu of flowers, we ask that
donations be made to the charity of your choice in his memory.
Special thanks to Tony Burrell, EB, Mike Tyson, Marty Corwin,
Chuck Haifley, Don King, Dean Smith, Zab Judah, and Kenny
Bayless.
With heartfelt thanks,
Jennifer, Darrin, Dennis, and Damon
