Licia Boudersa Wins by a Shut Out Decision over Agustina Rojas for WBF Title

(MAY 18) Last night at the Casino Barrière de Lille, in France, Licia Boudersa is now a two-time World Boxing Federation (WBF) Women’s World Super Featherweight champion after winning the vacant title against Argentinian Agustina “La Amazona” Rojas.

Boudersa, fighting in front of a hometown crowd at the Casino Barriere, first held the title between 2018 and 2019, and never lost it in the ring, as she moved down to Featherweight to win the IBO world title.

In the bout last night, Boudersa effectively out-boxed Rojas in every round, giving the visitor very little chance to gain momntum at any point. After ten rounds, judges Benny Decroos, Bruno Dubois and Jean Pierre Van Imschoot all scored the fight a shut-out at 100-90 for Boudersa.

30-year-old Boudersa improved her professional record to 20-1-2 (4KO), going undefeated since her second professional outing back in 2015.

Rojas, 24 years old, now has a record of 8-3-0. This was the first attempt for her to fight for a world title bout.

In a second female bout, Priscilla Peterle won a six-round unanimous decision over Ester Konecna, in the super-welterweight division.
