(AUG 10) On September 8, 2022, at the Cuidad Deportiva Heiner Ugalde, Hatillo, San Jose, in Costa Rica, there will be two female bouts featured on the card.  In one bout,  A newly signed female boxer with Golden Boy Promotions, IBF Minimumweight World champion, Yokasta "Yoka" Valle, 25-2 (9KO), of Costa Rica, will be facing undefeated WBO Minimumweight World Champion Thi Thu Nhi Nguyen, (5-0 (1KO), of Vietnam.  The two are fighting for the IBF and WBO Minimumweight World titles.

Valle said in a press release, “When I signed with Golden Boy, I thought that there could be nothing better, my childhood dream was coming true. But it turns out that with the hand of God and the support of Oscar De La Hoya and Golden Boy, today I am surprised once again, with the opportunity to be able to show the world that Costa Rica supports its athletes. I can promise all of my fans and Costa Rica that I will give the fight of my life against a great rival, the WBO World Champion Thi Nguyen, who is an internationally recognized boxer."

In a pre-fight statement by Valle's opponent Thi Nguyen, “I am very excited about this fight and the opportunity to be a unified world champion. I am going to win this fight no matter what. I will be the hero of Vietnam; it is my honor to represent my country and the women of my country. I have been training every day to make this an exciting, action filled fight and deliver a KO victory.”

In a second female bout, Adelaida "La Cobra" Ruiz, of Los Angeles, California, 11-0-1 (6KO), will be fighting Sonia Osorio, 15-7-0 (4KO),  of Mexico City, Mexico, for a second time.  The two first fought October 15, 2019, where the fight ended in a technical draw due to an accidental headbutt causing a cut over Osorio's left eye in the second round of a scheduled ten-round bout for the  WBC Interim Super Flyweight title.

This night they will take another go at it for the WBC Interim Super Flyweight title.

These fights will be featured on DAZN.
