(FEB 3) PROVIDENCE, RI
– CES Boxing, the region’s leader in combat sports, will host a
press conference open to the public and media Wednesday,
February 9 to announce the official launch of its new 2022
Crowne Plaza Hotel Fight Series.
Next Wednesday’s press conference
will be held at Arooga’s Grille House & Sports Bar, located
directly across from the Crowne Plaza at 615 Greenwich Ave., in
Warwick beginning at 3:30 pm. CES president and CEO Jimmy
Burchfield Sr. will announce the series’ first event, scheduled
for Saturday, February 19, which features a separate admission
day-night doubleheader beginning with an amateur show at 1 pm,
the "Jimmy Burchfield Classic Invitational V," followed by the
pro card, "Rhode Wars," at 7.

"Rhode Wars" features the return of four-time world champion and
living legend Jaime "Hurricane" Clampitt (22-5-2, 7 KOs) of
Warwick; Providence, RI, super welterweight Lamont Powell (5-0,
1 KO); super lightweight Wilson Mascarenhas (4-1, 1 KO) of New
Bedford, MA; heavyweight Tim Hatfield (2-0, 2 KOs) of
Providence; and bantamweights Daniel Cormier (1-0) of East
Providence, RI, and Christian Andrade (1-0, 1 KO) of Fairhaven,
MA.
