(JAN 30) LAS VEGAS, NV – Our upcoming International Women’s Boxing Hall of Fame event which is the premier celebratory event in Women’s boxing, is excited to announce that we have a unique “History First” that takes place on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at the Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. [Online Tickets link]

One of our 2022 IWBHF Inductees this year---Cora Webber, will be a "history-first" maker for our hall of fame.  Webber is a pioneer boxer who fought from 1979 to 1986---but then re-entered the sport in 1997.

So one may ask, how is this a history-first?

Well, check this out....last year in 2021 we had the honor on inducting Cora’s "twin" sister, Dora Webber. This year we will be inducting Dora's sister, and this will be a historical moment for our hall of fame, and/or any hall of fame!

Cora and Dora Webber are the only known female professional
boxers in the sport - Copyrighted photo:  Courtesy/Cora and Dora Webber

From 1981-1983 Cora Webber was rated #2 in the world in the lightweight division; and in 1984-1986 she was ranked #1 in the world in the lightweight division, with the title holder as vacant.

Another interesting tidbit about these fighters, is that Cora and Dora Webber, born just 10 seconds apart were one of the few female boxers in the sport to fight 15 round bouts!  Cora fought Laurie Holt 15 rounds in 1986; and Dora fought Jackie Holley 15 rounds in 1984.

Many years ago we told the public about the only Set of Twin Professional Female boxers---and yet in today’s sport we believe they still are the only set of female twins who have boxed professionally.
