(JAN 15) WBAN received this week an update and thoughts and well wishes for 2022 by one of the very top female boxers in the world Delfine Persoon of Belgium! Delfine said the following:

"First of all, I wish all boxers and boxing fans a happy and healthy '22, in which Covid is no longer a bummer. Partly due to Covid, there are no concrete plans for this year yet, but if allowed, BTH (Boxing Team Houtland) will organize a meeting in April where I will box."

"I am the official challenger for the European title, which is currently held by France's Elhem Mekhaled (15-0-0). If I can win the European title again, I hope to qualify for a world title fight, because I am still the world's No. 1 super feather."

"Furthermore, my main focus in '22 will be on the construction of our new boxing hall in Gits. All formalities are finally in order and we hope that construction can start soon."

WBAN wish list for Persoon is that she gets a huge fight with Mikaela Mayer.  That would be a big test for Mayer, and we feel it would be a great fight between these two champions!
