(NOV 2) It was a busy weekend for women's boxing considering we are in the middle of a pandemic.  WBAN will give boxing fans a rundown on what action took place.

YAMILA ABELLANEDA VS. SOFIA RODRIGUEZ

On Friday, October 30th, at the Club Atletico, Social y Deportivo Camioneros, in  Luis Guillon, Buenos Aires, Argentina, in a battle of the welterweights , Yamila Abellaneda, 137¾, won a six-round unanimous decision over Sofia "La Lobita" Rodriguez,  142¼, 2-4-0.  Final judges scores were 59½-55½, 58½-57, and 58-56.  Both female boxers fight out of Buenos Aires.

As reported on social media, it was said that Abellaneda, the current national light division champion showed her technical superiority, overwhelming her opponent with power in several times in the bout.  Apparently Rodriguez could not keep Abellaneda at a distance.  While inactivity was noticed in both boxers, Abellaneda's superiority was marked on cards.
