(AUG 16)  Last night in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in the mainliner, in a ten-round unification world title bout, Jessica McCaskill defeated Cecilia Braekhus who was defending her WBO, WBC, IBO, WBA, IBF Welterweight world title bouts. The bout was live on DAZN.  McCaskill improved her record to 9-2-0 (3KO), and Braekhus experiencing her first defeat in the sport, is now 36-1-0 (9KO).

The bout was very close throughout the ten rounds, and the bout ended in a majority decision, in favor of McCaskill.  Final judges scores were 95-95, 94-97, and 93-97.

Live Weigh-in - At the Scales

If Braekhus had won this bout, and successfully defending her titles she would have made "history" by breaking one of the sport's 'unbreakable records' — which has stood for 70 years first set when the male fighter Joe Louis.
