Zulina Munoz Wins by Decision over Fredee Gonzalez
Source:  Joe Serrato
December 16, 2019

(DEC 16)  On Saturday night at the Deportivo Leandro Valle, Mexico City, Mexico, Zulina "La Lobo" Munoz, 119, won an eight-round unanimous decision over Fredee Gonzalez, 121.   Final judges scores were 80-72, 79-73, and 80-73.

Fredee Gonzalez has proven to be a warrior who has continued throughout her pro career to fight some of the very best in the sport.  Coming into this fight with Munoz, she faced another huge challenge when she again after several tries to defeat Munoz was up yet again to fight her.

Unfortunately, on this night Munoz would yet again defeat Gonzalez.  Munoz's last fight with Gonzalez, that took place on December 3, 2011, also ended with a ten-round unanimous decision for her.

With that said, nothing has stopped Gonzalez from fighting higher profile boxers as Munoz, Jackie Nava, Ibeth Zamora Silva and more.

Munoz on the other hand has fought 55 times as a professional coming off of a win from fighting Sandra Hernandez on September 29, 2019, winning by a ten-round unanimous decision.

Munoz improved her record to 50-3-2 (29KO), and Gonzalez is now 6-15-1 (2KO).
