Two Female Bouts Featured on card in France
Source: WBF/BoxRec
October 27, 2019

(OCT 27) Last night at the Salle Gayant, Douai, Nord, France, there were two female bouts on the card.  In one bout WBF Super Bantamweight World champion Segelone “Majestic” Lefebvre, of  Douai, Nord, France, successfully defended her title against Ana Maria Lozano, of  Caracas, Venezuela.

According to a WBF Press Release, they reported the following:
Lefebvre was dominant in retaining her title for the fifth time,  In front of a packed Salle Gayant.  Undefeated Lefebvre (26), who won the title in March of 2017, scored a wide unanimous decision over tough and very game challenger Ana Maria Lozano (33) putting on a near master-class.

The WBF said that Lozano kept coming forward throughout the bout, and never gave up trying. Clearly the superior puncher, and knowing that one punch could change the way the fight was going, she was never out of the contest despite Lefebvre winning almost every round.

After ten rounds of boxing, judges Emmanuel Demanet and Mohamed Hireche both handed in scores of 98-92, while judge Sylvain Markazi Soroush had it slightly wider at 99-92.

In a second female bout,  super lightweight Anissa Benyoub, of Toulouse, Haute-Garonne, France, won an eight-round bout against Laetitia Chevalier, of  Pas-de-Calais, France, by unanimous decision.  The judges scored the bout 74-78, 75-78, and 75-78.
