(SEPT 11) Sarah Ivy
Dickerson, who helped film the International Women's Boxing Hall
of Fame (IWBHF) last weekend on August 30th, at the DoubleTree
Hotel, in Brisbane, California, fought at the Sunday Showdown on
September 8, 2019, at the Century Sheriff's Boxing Club in
Florence-Graham, California, winning her fight against Haley
Sawyer of Virgil Hill's Quicksilver Gym.
Ivy met Jill Morley at a Film
Fatales (female filmmaker) group three years ago and expressed
her interest in boxing. Since then, Jill has been training her
through Fight Like a Girl Boxing. (www.FLAGboxingla.com)
Wayne "The Pocket Rocket"
McCullough came onboard and the two have been training and
cornering Ivy this past year.
She has five fights to date. She
is 4 and 1 as an amateur and looks to compete in the upcoming
qualifiers and to take her journey into boxing as far as she
can.
After shooting the IWBHF, Ivy
said, "It's so inspiring to see the support the women have for
