(APR 26) LAS VEGAS - Last night at the Sam's Town Hotel & Gambling Hall, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, Bantamweight Rosalinda Rodriguez, 117.5, of Miami, Florida, remains undefeated moving her record to 10-0-0 (2KO) after she won a six-round unanimous decision (60-54 on all judges cards), over Martina Horgasz, 117.4, 5-3-0 (4KO)of Budapest, Hungary.

In what was described as a battle between these two, that was said to be it a TV worthy fight, and that Rodriguez and Horgasz left it all in the ring.   One of the commentators said of Rosalinda Rodriguez that she should be considered one of the top female fighters.

Mercedes Vazquez Simmons, President of Pretty Girl Promotions told WBAN, "I’m proud of both women for putting on a stellar fight worthy of a world title."

"Rosalinda has had some major set backs in her career including being stripped from a title since she was not able to defend it during her nearly year long medical related ring absence. However she was able to push through and kept positive," added Simmons.

WBAN asked what were the future plans for Rodriguez, and we were told that it has been her "life wish" to fight for a WBC Title, and that they hope this happens in 2019.

Rodriguez is possibly fighting in May in Puerto Rico, and WBAN will give more details as they become available.

In a second female bout, Shurretta Metcalf, 119.5, won a four-round unanimous decision over  Mikayla Nebel, 120.  More details needed on the second bout.

It was nice to see eight-time world champion Layla McCarter, support the females fighting on this card, and she posed with Rosalinda Rodriguez in some of the photos.
