Two Female Bouts on Card:  Lefebvre and Mouhib Defends WBF Titles
Source: WBF
March 27, 2019

(MAR 27) Segolene Lefebvre and Mehdi Mouhib will face tough challengers when they defend their World Boxing Federation (WBF) titles at familiar stomping grounds, headlining a show at the Salle Gayant in home-town Douai, France on April 12.

In her fourth defense of the WBF Women's World Super Bantamweight crown, Lefebvre, 11-0 (1), will square off with Laura Soledad Griffa, 18-2 (1), from Argentina, and aims to further solidify her standing as one of the very best in her division.

Coming off her best win to date against another Argentinian in former WBA and WBO World Champion Yesica Patricia Marcos (28-1-2) last November, Lefebvre (25) goes in deep again with Griffa (33) who brings plenty of ambition to her second crack at world honours.

Putting his WBF Intercontinental Welterweight title on the line for the first time in the co-feature, 29-year-old undefeated Mehdi “Coco” Mouhib, 17-0 (11), faces experienced Belgian Steve Jamoye (27), who enters the fight with a 25-7-2 (5) record.

Like Lefebvre, Mouhib will try to build on the momentum gained in his previous outing, where he scored his best victory so far and won the WBF title with an impressive second round stoppage of then unbeaten Egyptian Abdumonem Said (18-0-1).

Also on the show, promoted by Douai Boxing Club, older brother of Segolene, Barthelemy Lefebvre, 17-10-1 (4), fights for the vacant French national Super Welterweight title against Fouad El Massoudi, 16-11 (2). Five additional bouts will complete the card.
