(DEC 10) On Saturday night at the A.C. Jordan Arena on the campus of Bowie State University, in Bowie, Maryland, there was an action-packed junior lightweight female bout featuring Tiara Brown, of Bladensburg, Maryland, facing road-warrior veteran and former IBF Featherweight world champion, Dahiana Santana, of the Dominican Republic.

Dibella Entertainment wrote in their press release, "fighting for the second straight time at Bowie State University, Brown will be facing the toughest opponent of her career. A police officer with the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, D.C., she is coming off a fourth-round stoppage of Jasmine Clarkson on September 22, 2018. Santana has fought a wealth of top talent in women’s boxing including Amanda Serrano, Eva Wahlstrom and Anahi Sanchez."

Santana entered the ring this night with a vast amount of professional boxing experience----along with an extensive boxing record of  36-10-0 (15KO), going back to 2002 when Santana made her pro debut.

In the first round the two appeared to be filling each other out, but from the second round until the end of the fourth round, it was filled with a continued action with Brown appearing to be the sharper of the two.  Santana went for many body shots throughout the fight, with the fourth round not faring well for her as she appeared to have not been punching as sharply, and she held on to Brown, where the ref gave her a standing eight-count, taking a point away from her.  When the bell rang after the fourth round, Santana did not return for the fifth round. They announced the fight as a TKO in the fourth round. The bout was scheduled for eight rounds.  WBAN has added the video:

Brown said after the weigh-in, "Last night's weigh-ins were awesome! Tensions were risen, words were said, a little pushing and shoving..with that being said it's going down tonight at Bowie State University 6pm."

Brown fulfilled her prophecy of this night when she stopped Santana in the fourth round!  Brown improved her record to 7-0-0 (5KO), and Santana fell to 36-11-0 (15KO).
