Convincing win for Katie Taylor vs. Kimberly Connor in 02 Arena in London tonight.
July 28, 2018
by Michael O'Neill

(JULY 28) Tonight at the O2 Arena (Millenium Dome), Greenwich, London, United Kingdom, promoted by Matchroom Boxing/Eddie Hearn, Katie Taylor, now 10-0-0 (5KO), won by TKO after 18 seconds of round three over Kimberly Connor, 132, 13-4-2 (5KO). Taylor dominated first round but developed badly swollen face after accidental clash of heads in round two, so quickly went on attack and it all ended after 18 seconds of round three.

Immediately after the bout Katie Taylor told Sky Sports viewers:

"Kimberly was tough. I happened to catch her with a good shot, stayed composed, and got a good finish.

I knew I had a bump on the eye but it wasn't going to affect me.

"I've got two belts. Two more to go."

Matthew Macklin said:

"She is absolutely brilliant, sensational. Her speed, her footwork and the way she lets her hands go, are just brilliant.

"Her tenacity is great. She is vicious.

"She is such a polite and timid lady when you meet her but she changes into a different person when she gets in that ring."

and Eddie Hearn had this to say:

""It's hard to get people to fight her, she's vicious!

"She's a worldwide star who will box in the US next. She'll take a lot of stopping and eventually we'll move up weights."
