(JUNE 25) WBAN has received exciting news that the WBC will be having their third WBC Women's Convention later this year with dates announced for November 28th to December 2, 2018 to be held in Culiacan, Mexico.  There was a recent press conference announcing this upcoming event.

On the WBC website they reported the following:  "At a press conference, Mauricio Sulaiman, President of the WBC, stressed that Culiacan will become the boxing capital of the world when, from November 28 to December 2 and this event will bring together the best boxers at international level.

Organizers say they're counting on the attendance Laila Ali, Ana Maria Torres, Jackie Nava and Mariana "Barbie" Juarez, among many others stars.

"Women boxers are always in condition and never have weight problems. The Women's Convention seeks to dignify our Sport. Women come out to fight and what we seek is to improve conditions, as well as better development for them, "said Mauricio, who also highlighted that Culiacan is the birthplace of great champions, principally the Chávez dynasty, assuring that he expects this city will be a great host.

Antonio Castańeda Verduzco, Municipal President of Culiacan, expressed his approval and enthusiasm for this great event to be held in this city, because this shows the true face of the town, where families will provide a warm welcome to visitors.

He added that the building where the conferences will took place has become a regional boxing cathedral, highlighting that the memory of Don José Sulaimán, will always be honored and cherished by the people of Culiacan."

WBAN will continue to keep boxing folks updated on this upcoming event with press releases that become available.
