(SEPT 30) Last night at the Korakuen Hall, in Tokyo, Japan,
Saemi Hanagata, 101¾, a former OPBF Mini-flyweight champion won a ten-round split decision over Yuko Kuroki, 101½, a former WBC Mini-flyweight champion.  This was a rubber match for the two.  the two were fighting for the vacant IBF Atomweight title. This was a rubber match between them.  The final judges scores were 96-94, 96-94, and 95-96.
