(JAN 5) Rumble In The Jungle is a
boxing camp for people who want more than just a fitness class.
The next camp will take place on March 18, 2017, in Nosara,
Costa Rica. Our unique 8-day experience will reconnect you
with yourself, what motivates you and gives you energy. It will
enable you to:
Get in excellent physical shape;
Show you how far you can push yourself;
Reduce your body fat;
Develop inner strength;
Build confidence;
Embrace the challenge of stepping outside your comfort zone;
Learn the fundamentals of boxing.
Packages Include:
8 nights’ accommodation in the Enchanted Forest's tree houses
and cabanas (screened rooms with fans) in the beautiful Costa
Rican jungle. Daily breakfast supplied for self service
breakfast. Lunch and dinner prepared using organic local
ingredients prepared by one of our local chefs. A 7-Day
fitness challenge consisting of 4 hours of training a day.
One hand-and-stone therapeutic massage using organic coconut oil
and warm stones to increase circulation to help heal old
injuries. Transfers to and from Liberia Airport to
Guiones.
On the final day, an exploration of the area on Quad bikes and a
cocktail evening (door charge and drinks at your own cost).
Fitness:
A plan for you to meet, and exceed your personal goals for the
week.
A personal plan to kick-start your discipline, hone new skills
and maintain them at home. Training consists of an
early-morning beach run, circuit training, injury prevention,
boxing technique and sparring, and an optional exhibition fight.
Location:
We are situated in Playa Guinoes, one of three stunning beaches
just west of the small town of Nosara. Nearby are coastal hills
covered in trees full of mangoes, avocados, howler monkeys and a
variety of birds, which slope down to meet a crescent of white
sand and the rolling waves of the Pacific. Because the area is
accessible only by dirt track, development is minimal, resulting
in the perfect getaway location. Consistent surf and
world-leading yoga retreats attract young and old, creating a
relaxed vibe. Playa Garza, just to the south, is a laid-back
fishing village, whilst Playa Pelada to the north features a
more rugged, bolder coastline often filled with thousands of
large oceanic birds. Further north, the volcanic black-sanded
Playa Ostional is one of two nesting grounds for the Olive
Ridley, the world's smallest sea turtle.
Accommodation:
The purpose of this retreat is to push your boundaries and
venture beyond your comfort zone. This applies to the
accommodation, too. As well as the luxuries of the Villa you
have the option of staying in the Tree Houses of the Enchanted
Forest! When staying in the Tree Houses, you live in and with
nature. That means waking with the howler monkeys at 5.30 a.m.,
showering in outdoor showers – although the region’s average
temperature is 31 degrees C, so cold showers are a sweet relief!
This environment strips you of your usual creature comforts and
allows you to appreciate the basics of life. But don’t worry –
you’ll be sleeping in a comfortable bed! We also have warm
showers, mosquito nets and a sauna to make everything slightly
more comfortable! Wi-Fi is also available.
Food:
Our resident chef uses locally sourced, protein-packed
ingredients to ensure your full muscle repair and recovery. We
source all our fresh fish directly from local fishermen, fruit
from the trees around us, and organic meat from local farmers.
Tea, coffee and breakfast foods will be provided each morning,
but you’ll need to prepare them yourself!
Sample Itinerary:
We can’t give it all away, but here’s a taste of what you can
expect when you come to Nosara:
Once you arrive in Costa Rica, home to the happiest people on
the planet, you’ll meet one of the Rumble In The Jungle staff
for a personal one-on-one to identify your goals for the week.
On Day 2, you’ll wake up with the howler monkeys for a sunrise
run along the beach, followed by breakfast at 7.30 a.m. Class
begins at 9 a.m., after which you can enjoy a mid-morning fruit
shake at 10:30 to regain some energy. You’ll then enjoy some
free time until we meet again at 1 p.m. for a leisurely lunch
followed by an afternoon of boxing technique training and light
touch sparring. At sunset, around 5:30 p.m., you can participate
in meditation on the beach. Each day is a little different – but
always consistently challenging!
To relax after your journey, you can enjoy a swim at one of the
world’s top-ten beaches!
Nicola, attendee of Boxing Camp
in March 2016 said "The boxing retreat in Nosara was an
exceptionally unique experience. When the opportunity came up to
go to Costa Rica and sweat it out, surrounded by incredible tree
house scenery with monkeys, sloths and exotic birds, I jumped at
the chance. Nosara is a beautifully quiet surf town with a beach
that is filled with more white sand than you could dream of and
a Pacific Ocean with warming temperatures that make you want to
never get out.
Extras:
Playa Guinoes is one of Costa Rica’s leading surf beaches,
providing both gentle, consistent waves for beginners and point
breaks for more advanced surfers. The local surf schools offer
lessons, surf hire and locals who have been surfing this coast
for over 20 years; they canprovide a Surfari at extra cost. If
you fancy an extra Yoga or Pilates class, you have several local
options, including the Nosara Yoga Institute.
Not included:

Travel Insurance
Additional activities such as surf, zip lining or visits to the
nature reserve.
Prices:

Pay 50% upfront, 50% 5 days before the start date of your
retreat: $1,293.00
I found the blend of boxing
sessions in the morning and early evening, combined with the
opportunity to surf, or go quad biking or just laze about on the
white sands of the magical beach, a magnificent mix. This is
definitely a retreat with a difference. Not to mention the
delicious home made food and fresh fruits and vegetables plucked
from the trees in the local area. The boxing coaches are
exceptional and cater to all levels which is a major bonus. This
experience has it all. The yin wth the yang. There is nothing
else like it out there. Oh and don't even get me started on
Costa Rica. One of the most magical places with sunsets that
will make your heart melt. If you are thinking twice about going
then my advice is to take the leap of faith and step forward
into one of the most sensational experiences of your life."
Our team:
Carina Crawford Khan, Co-Founder and Director of Evolution Me
and Founder of Rumble In The Jungle.
Hi I'm Carina, I stumbled across the Enchanted Forest when I
travelled to Costa Rica in 2014 for the surf! Having never tried
boxing before, I discovered the immediate results it had on my
physical and mental strength. Returning to London, I joined a
gym and within a year I turned my life around. Applying the
discipline of the boxing gym to my life - focusing on achieving
in my work as a community organiser and being involved in
opening a school, I said goodbye to my slightly wild,
party-animal side.
Now that I've adopted the discipline of boxing, I train at least
4 times a week and have since joined an amateur club in Peckham,
where I hope to have my first bout in October 2016. Boxing has
enabled me to express myself, improve and utilise my strength
and creativity. It has dramatically transformed my physique and
overall strength and allowed me to develop Boxing Boot Camps
which are inspiring others to do the same.
I can't wait to meet each of you and hear about your own
personal development. I hold the Rumble in the Jungle Boxing
Camp close to my heart and it's what I want to offer you and the
rest of the world who might not have experienced this kind of
journey of self discovery.
