Brenda Flores Wins Jr. Flyweight Baja State Championship
December 6, 2016

(DEC 6) On Friday, December 2nd, Brenda "La Bonita" Flores won the Junior Flyweight Baja State Championship. She defeated Luz Rodriguez in a hard-fought eight round bout, that was featured in the main event at the Grand Hotel, in Tijuana, Mexico.

It was reported to WBAN that the fight was a slugfest where both exchanged a barrage of punches throughout the fight, and the crowd were very pleased with the action-packed bout.

At the end of the fight Rodriguez had a cut over the left eye, while the new champion Flores had a bruised area in the right eye.

For Flores, this made it her third fight this year after having a baby girl last December of 2015.

Flores is now 10-3-1 and is looking for a fight with Amaris Quintana of San Diego, California. "In a Battle of the Border Showdown" next year.
