(JUNE 30)  Exciting news on the net on the WBC website, that reports, ex- World Boxing Council (WBC)  light flyweight champion, Esmeralda “Joya” Moreno, will get another title opportunity at the International Oasis Arena Cancun on July 23rd to face current WBC flyweight Empress Yessica “Kika” Chavez.  [This will be a very interesting on top-notch fight on the card for sure, with potential high-energy boxing action].

WBC said, "Esmeralda's pro debut was on April 20, 2005. She now has a professional boxing record of 25 wins with 9 KO´s and six defeats. Starting in 2013 she announced a temporary recess as she became mother of Larissa Valentina on June 2013.

Both warriors, started in a give and take brawl on February 19, 2011, with Joya Moreno getting the victory and the WBC silver light flyweight world championship. After defending that crown 5 times, she conquered the world title defeating Japanese Naomi Togashi at the Miguel Hidalgo gym in Puebla.

Having become a mom, Esmeralda returned to boxing, and on April 30 she traveled to Austria, to defeat Eva Voraberger, with a handy majority decision victory.

Now, “joya” is totally focused on this hard upcoming fight against “kika”. If she wins she will get top the top of the female boxing elite, one more. "
