(APR 22) WBC Female
Lightweight Champion Delfine Persoon (Belgium) and her mandatory
Challenger Nicole Boss (Switzerland) are ready for their highly
anticipated title fight this Saturday (April 25th).
One week before the bout both
fighters tipped the scale at 61.4 kg (135.5 lbs). Persoon is
making her second defence. After winning the title one year ago
from Erica Anabella Farias (Argentina), the Belgian powerhouse
took on Diana Prazak in November and stopped the then reigning
WBC World Super featherweight Champion in the ninth round.
Now Delfine is surging into the shark tank, on the crest of a
wave, to face European Champion Nicole Boss in her hometown
Berne (Switzerland) after Boss’ promoter Sascha Mueller (Box
Academy Bern) won the purse bid for the mandatory title defense.
