(DEC 9) WBC President, WBC Cares members, and a selection of Boxing Stars are gathering on December 15th at a School in Baldwin Park, Ca for one of the greatest fights ever! We are fighting teenage depression and suicide.

Our event, Keeping the Happy in the Holidays, will address many of the problems our youth and their families face during the season, and beyond. Given the tragic shootings in the surrounding areas of LA, the school, is considering this event inspirational and of major importance.

The school, Congresswoman Napolitano and WBC have enlisted teams of Mental Health Care professional and local dignataries, to address the students, as well as some of the finest athletes and officials in boxing. This will be an an upbeat party, with music and prizes, dedicated to wellness, friendship and family.

Who better than our amazing fighters, those who have moved through and overcome many obstacles in their lives, to pass the message of hope, resiliency and caring to our teens. We are Ambassadors, and have always taken our influence as spokespeople for our community very seriously.

The WBC is very proud of our participation and look forward to more events such as this. If interested in obtaining tickets, kindly contact Nancy Rodriguez at LAoffice@wbcboxing.com  or Nancyr505@gmail.com
