(SEPT 4)  North Attleboro, Massachusetts - This week, Striking Beauties Boxing Gym for Women was honored to host USA Boxing Olympian Queen Underwood.

The young woman from Seattle, Washington, boasts an impressive amateur record. She has won the National Golden Glove Championship nine times. But her most impressive win was the 2012 Olympic trials. She was a history-maker as one of the first women ever to compete when women's boxing finally debuted in the 2012 London Olympic Games.

Queen has spent her time here sparring with local up and coming amateur boxers as well as New England's elite professional Shelly Vincent (14-0), and Pro female Aleks Lopes, (13-3-2) She is being hosted and sponsored by both the Striking Beauties Boxing Gym for Women in North Attleboro, and Manfredo Boxing and Sports Fitness in Narragansett.

"My stay has been nothing less than amazing! Team Striking Beauties has made me feel more welcome than any other gym. With the guidance of nutrition, the unlimited use of the facility, supporting my training goals, and encouragement have definitely moved me and touched my heart. The women I have met are incredible and it will really be hard to leave this place, but hopefully I will be back soon. I want each and every person to know that I truly appreciate everything and I am more inspired than ever to eventually be able to pass my guidance and knowledge to help support youth and adults who love the sport of boxing whether for fitness or competition."

We wish Queen the best of luck as she travels on to the Olympic Qualifiers in Baltimore, Maryland this week, and on to the 2016 games!

Tomorrow 9/5 at 9 AM, Queen Underwood will be teaching Boxing class at Striking Beauties, North Attleboro! The donation to her journey to the 2016 Olympics is $20! Come get a great workout and meet the "Queen of the Ring"! Thank you to all who have generously donated! And we are still taking $10 donations to win a pair of autographed leather boxing gloves!
