(DEC 10) The World Boxing Council [WBC] is just a few days from having their 52nd Convention that will take place from December 14 to 19 at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas.

I will be there and would like to meet up with any of the female boxers or boxing community that I know from the sport, who will be at the convention or in Las Vegas. Email me at wban100@aol.com  or text or phone me to let me know that you are planning to attend.

I am looking forward to meeting up with one of our IWBHF 2015 Inductees Laura Serrano who has confirmed her attendance at the WBC Convention.

This will be the first Convention with Mauricio Sulaiman as President of the WBC.  Also they have a Super Star line up that includes: Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Evander Holyfield, Roberto Duran, Marvin Hagler, Julio Cesar Chavez, Oscar de la Hoya, Joe Calzaghe, Nigel Benn, Marvin Hagler, Jeff Fenech, Erik Morales, Edgar Sosa, Bermane Stiverne, Grigory Drozd, Adonis Stevenson, Anthony Dirrell, Mia St. John, Miguel Cotto, Gennady Golovkin, Floyd Mayweather Jr., Danny Garcia, Omar Figueroa, Takashi Miura, Jhonny Gonzalez, Leo Santa Cruz, Shinsuke Yamanaka, Carlos Cuadras, Roman Gonzalez, Wanheng Menayothin, Laura Serrano (as I mentioned as one of our inductees for 2015), Mariana Juarez, who’ve already confirmed their attendance.

The WBC said, “The WBC always at the forefront, has organized 51 successful Conventions. We continue to strengthen our affiliated federations and there will also be Medical and Rankings committees, plus Judges and Referees Seminaries. The WBC 52nd Convention will make history as the greatest boxers of each division, chosen by the fans votes, will be presented with our brand new 6- G belt. Images of these great Champions will be part of the plaques on their belts, also honoring those legends who’ve helped to built boxing.”
