Mexico: Silvia Torres to fight Joana Medina

(JULY 19) Tonight at the Centro de Convenciones Azul, Ixtapa Zihuatanejo, Guerrero, Mexico, there will be one female bout on the card featuring Silvia Torres, 47.500 kg, will be facing Joana "Morenita Tapatia" Medina, 48.200 kg. The two will be fighting six rounds in the light flyweight division.

Torres last fought on May 31, 2014, when she won a decision against Edith Flores.  Torres comes in with a 3-0-0 (1KO) record.  Her opponent Medina, has had only one fight in January in 2013, where she lost to Alondra Garcia by a four-round unanimous decision. She will look for her first win as a pro boxer when she takes on Torres.

In the men's boxing action in the the mainliner, Nery "Pantera" Saguilán, 59 kg, and Sheiichi Okada, 58.6 kg, will contend the USNBC super-featherweight championship endorsed by the World Boxing Council in a bout which features Promociones del Pueblo, Cemento Cruz Azul and SIXT Rent a car and will be aired by Televisa Deportes Network.

In other boxing action, Arturo Santos, 56.200 kg, will fight Jairo Hernandez, 56.500 kg; Diego Cruz, 65.200 kg vs. Miguel Angel Vazquez, 63.500 kg.
