(MAR 6) WBAN has received
some exciting news earlier today when we were notified that the
World Boxing Council President, Mauricio Sulaiman Saldivar, just
prior to traveling to Las Vegas, Nevada, said that the
fight for the WBC Female Super flyweight world title between
current champion, Zulina Muñoz and challenger Mariana Juarez is
mandatory.
The WBC is setting a deadline of
three weeks for promoters to reach an agreement on the details
of the fight, and if no agreement is reached, a purse bid will
be conducted on a date to be announced.
It is a bout that appears to be sensational, as most fights in
which WBC boxers take part.
All the members of our organization feel proud that two Mexican
boxers of the level that Zulina and Mariana have to face each
other, and the WBC said that "we are sure that boxing fans
think in the same way."
