Boxing Action in New York January 18, 2014

(DEC 27) In 2014, we are opening up with a boxing card that will take place on Saturday, January 18, 2014, at the Five Star Banquet, in Long Island City, Queens, New York, and promoted by Uprising promotions, there will be four female bouts on the card.  Ticket Info: You can call 646 -831-9233 or 516 451-6733 $100 ringside $60 reserved Small Venue all seats have excellent views.

In the main event, Keisher "Fire" McLeod-Wells, 6-2-0 (1KO) will be fighting in a 10-round bout for the vacant WIBA Flyweight belt against Monica Flores, 3-1-0.

In a six round bout, Eileen Olszewski, 8-5-2 (1KO), will face Jodi Esquibel, 6-6-1 (2KO), for a UBF International title. The two will be fighting at a catch weight of 110 lbs.

In another six-rounder Jennifer Santiago, 2-0-0 (0KO), will be fighting Peggy Maerz, 2-4-1, for a vacant UBF All-America Bantamweight belt.

According to Boxrec, there is a fourth female bout on the card featuring Bertha Aracil, making her pro debut, vs. Jennifer Woodward, 1-1-0 (1KO).

In the men's boxing action, Valdrin Muriqi vs. Joe Yerdon, six rounds, light Middleweight; Eugene Russell vs. TBD, Heavyweight; Wesley Ferrer vs. TBD, lightweight; and Armin Mrkanovic vs. TBD, heavyweight.
