(JULY 11)  A press conference was held on Monday in Los Angeles, California, with popular Mexican WBC flyweight world champion Mariana "La Barbie" Juarez (34-5-3, 16 KOs) and Japanese challenger Shindo Go (10-1, 8 KOs) who faced off in advance of their title fight this Saturday at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California.

Juarez last fought in the United States in 2007. This is the seventh defense of the WBC belt Juarez won from Simona Galassi in March 2011. Previously she had seven WBC interim title fights. "I had a hard time taking this title from a great champion Simona Galassi," says Juarez, "and since that day to keep it I give it all with great effort. I want to do my best and I try in every fight. I want be remembered in history as a great boxer."
